Alexia Zesati Gonzalez

associate marriage and family therapist

You may be carrying more than you let on — years of showing up for others, holding things together, while  something inside keeps asking for attention you haven't had time to give it. Maybe you're navigating a  relationship that feels harder than it should, a transition that's shaken your sense of who you are, or a quiet  exhaustion that comes from trying to make sense of where you've been and where you're headed. You want to  understand yourself more deeply, not just manage symptoms, and you're looking for a space where your full  story — culture, history, and all — is welcome.

I became a therapist because I believe healing happens in relationship, not in isolation. Over more than two  decades of clinical work, I have sat with individuals, couples, and families moving through anxiety, depression,  relational conflict, grief, and the kind of existential searching that often surfaces during life transitions. I bring a  psychodynamic foundation to my work, layered with person-centered, attachment-based, Jungian, and  emotionally focused approaches, along with DBT skills and an eclectic, flexible style that adapts to who is  actually in front of me. My clinical background also includes specialized training in trauma and domestic  violence-informed care, which has deepened my respect for the resilience people carry even in their most  difficult moments.

As a bilingual (Spanish-English) therapist with deep roots in both Mexican and Bay Area communities, I hold  cultural sensitivity as central to my practice — I want you to feel fully seen, not translated. Together, we will work  to uncover the patterns keeping you stuck, reconnect you with your own strength, and build a path toward  lasting change. You will leave our work not just with insight, but with a renewed sense of wholeness and  direction. Taking this step is already meaningful — let's take the next one together.
