Debra Yan

Associate Social Worker

Do you feel overwhelmed by the weight of fear and self-doubt? Do you find it hard to ask for help when you need it the most? Do you find yourself stuck in old patterns that feel impossible to change? You want to live your life with joy, belonging, and connection, but deep rooted patterns keep getting in the way.  Know that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own - the first step is to reach out for support.

As a Chinese American daughter of immigrants, I know firsthand the challenges of prioritizing your own needs and mental wellbeing amidst societal and cultural stigma and expectations. I understand how hard it is to ask for help and find a safe space to be open and vulnerable about your struggles. I strive to create a therapy space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and inclusive and affirming of your identities, strengths, and lived experiences.

My hope is that you can leave the therapy space with more capacity, skills, and resourcing to live more deeply connected to yourself and to others. Together we will work collaboratively to uncover and untangle the barriers that get in the way of you living a fulfilling life aligned with your values and goals. I look forward to meeting you.
