Tasneem Dadabhoy

Associate Social Worker

You may be looking for a space where you don't have to over-explain your culture or the parts of you that often feel misunderstood, a space where your lived experience is believed and your identities are welcomed. I work with children, teens and adults navigating life transitions, relationships and the expectations placed on them by family or culture. Some carry the weight of being the first or the different one, while others are learning how to take up space, use their voice, or break patterns that no longer serve them.

I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to grow up struggling in a family where mental health was rarely discussed. I longed for someone who would truly see me, but when I eventually sought support, I often met therapists who didn’t quite understand the world I came from or the pressures I carried at home. Those moments shaped the kind of therapist I am committed to being today.

I believe our mental health does not exist in a vacuum; it's shaped by our communities, the systems we move through, and the messages we have been taught about who we are allowed to be. In our work together, I will support you, challenge you with care, and help you untangle the connection between your thoughts and your behaviors. If this feels like the kind of space you’ve been hoping for, I would love to meet you
