Alisa Dichter

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Whatever brought you to seek therapy today, I am glad you are here, and I want you to know that you are not alone.

I became a therapist because I have always been deeply drawn to people and their stories. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through genuine human connection. When we feel truly seen, heard, and understood, we are better able to access our own wisdom and strengths.

Like the rings of a tree or the walls of a canyon, every layer tells a story. Our experiences shape us and become part of who we are. While they may leave us changed, they do not define our worth. With understanding and compassion, even our most difficult chapters can become part of our healing and growth.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to simply be yourself. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique experiences, needs, and goals.

I draw from a blend of therapeutic approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), integrating these approaches based on what feels most helpful and effective for you. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and have supported clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, peripartum depression, and life transitions. I am deeply committed to providing trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and culturally responsive care for people of all backgrounds and identities.

My hope is that therapy helps you build greater clarity, self-compassion, healing, and trust in your ability to navigate life's challenges long after our work together has ended. Together, we'll make sense of what you're carrying, build on the strengths you already possess, and discover new tools to help you move toward the life, relationships, and future you hope to create.
