Lian Yeow
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Each of us face struggles at some point in our lives that we can discuss to resolve with a professional therapist. Perhaps, at this time you are confronting an issue that did not get resolved as smoothly and quickly as you wish. Those issues can be overwhelming stressors, such as personal, relationship, work-related issues, negative emotions (sadness, anger, anxiety, etc.), lack of self-esteem and difficulty concentrating or make decisions. Fortunately, with a desire for healthy self-care, you can reach out to a professional therapist. This is where I can help you identify your priorities and strengths to overcome your struggles.
I am a global therapist, as I can effectively work with people from many walks of life and many different cultures. My positive and optimistic approach can support you as you discover the strengths you bring to tackle the issues with which you struggle today. I am well trained in many evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Trauma, etc.
I have survived childhood abused and IPV, poverty, challenging immigration issues. My past struggles have helped me build skills, knowledge, and empathy that will be valuable in my work as your therapist. I’m a good listener and am able to understand how different cultural backgrounds can influence the way that people work to resolve life’s challenges.
